For the first 28 years the World Headquarters for Campus Crusade for Christ was at Arrowhead Springs in California. In September of 1991, we moved cross-country to Orlando and our Sunport office. Then, the Lake Hart campus was built and became our home in April of 1999.
|
| • |
950 staff work at the Lake Hart campus.
|
| • |
Lake Hart is only 12 minutes away from the Orlando International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the United States.
|
| • |
A Central Florida rancher named Mr. Charles Bradshaw, Jr. donated the 285 acres that make up our Lake Hart campus.
|
| • |
91 acres (of that 285) have been developed so far.
|
| • |
Lake Hart is home to many of God’s creatures like alligators, raccoons, otters, sand hill cranes, fox squirrels, hawks, eagles, quail and lots of other kinds of birds. We also have a family of deer who love to sneak up and eat the plants in our landscaping.

It took 18,000 cubic yards of poured concrete to build our two main buildings. That’s enough concrete to pour a 4-foot wide sidewalk 70 miles long.
|
| • |
The builders used 3 million pounds of reinforcing bars in the concrete structure.
|
| • |
There are a total of 306 columns around our buildings. The largest is 24-½ feet tall and each has a capital made of Styrofoam then covered with stucco to match the buildings.
|
| • |
The terrazzo floors in our entryways have a fish design. Christians have used the fish symbol since the time of the original 12 disciples.
|
| • |
The Quadrangle, a courtyard in the middle of our campus, is 177,500 square feet in area. That’s just about the same area as 3 football fields.
|
| • |
There are 144 cypress trees that flank our Quadrangle and 60,000 square feet of Bermuda sod. Generous donors gave all the trees and sod on the Quadrangle.
|
| • |
On any given day out on our Quadrangle you can see
| ° |
People playing volleyball or Frisbee, or lawn bowling |
| ° |
People having Bible studies or quiet times |
| ° |
People eating their lunch |
| ° |
Sand hill cranes walking around looking for lunch! |
|
| • |
We excavated approximately 500,000 cubic yards of dirt out of the 25 acres of ponds we dug. That’s enough dirt to fill the Quadrangle up to 76 feet into the air.
|
| • |
There are fish in all of our ponds. The Florida Fish and Game Commission assisted in stocking the ponds with fish.
|
| • |
The three buildings comprise approximately 300,000 square feet of space. |
